County Kids is
a quarterly guide for
children and families. Based in Boulder, Colorado, we
provide informative articles for the whole family including
columns on our environment, education, healthy recipes,
sports and self-esteem and an advice column. We have
directories of camps, preschools/private schools, health
care providers, and afterschool programs, a four-page
calendar of events section, news about town and advertisers
that cater to the family. We distribute in Boulder County
along with Broomfield, and Westminster along with points
in Denver and Estes Park covering many topics locally
and statewide.
ARTICLES
Boulder County Kids encourages your submission
of articles, photographs and ideas. We do favor
articles from local writers and experts. Boulder
County Kids format is resource oriented and we look
for articles that are a gift of
information for the public. Since we have limited
space we do not do articles about businesses but rather
a focus on resources and information.
Although we do not
pay for articles, please feel free to add a paragraph
at the end of the article promoting the writer or organization
along with phone numbers, e-mail addresses and website
information.
Please send your article as a text or .doc file and
send photographs and/or graphics as attachments in TIFF,
GIF, PDF, EPS or JPG formats. We can not work with Publisher
files.

your calls. We receive hundreds of submissions a year
nationwide and again, we do favor local writers. Please

MEDICAL/HEALTH
articles. Please do include references when you can.
Areas of health and well-being are very important and
we want to make sure we have articles that are documented
with studies and reference materials. We do not do informerical
articles on businesses and we are much more critical
on health-related issues. Please be prepared to back-up
your statements. We are happy to list bibliography and
references and encourage suggested readings.
